  1. I love this dress soooooo much! It looks like Merida from Brave, which is my all-time favorite movie/princess. Although I don't usually buy any patterns from Pixie Faire (Freebie Friday <3), this will be my one time exception. I love all your tutorials. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. I'm hoping to make this cape for my grand daughter. 2 questions before I get started.
    1. Step 5 says take hood and fold right sides together, but I don't see where I am getting the hood from.

    2. Do you think I can use a velvety stretchy fabric for this cape?

    Thank you!

    1. In step 1. Download my free pattern here
Click on the underlined "here", which will let you download a pdf file which contains the hood pattern that you need to use.
And yes, you can use velvet stretch fabric.

    2. Hello dear, is it possible to downsize a pattern to fit a Groovy Girl doll? If so, how is that done?

    3. Just measure how long you want the cape to be on your doll (I am not familiar with Groovy Girl dolls) and add seam allowances. Then measure how large you need to make the neck opening and make it smaller to allow for the seam allowance. Then adjust the pattern according to your measurements. Capes are very easy to make and are therefore easy to adjust. Good luck.
